Join the Clinton Community Library and the Conservation Advisory Council to look for mushrooms and other fungi! CAC member Nick Sacerdote will share information about what they are, where they can be found, their roles in natural systems, and the basics of fungal identification. After our discussion, we will go on short walk along the Norene Coller Nature Trail to look for and identify local fungi. 

Please note: Wear appropriate clothing and footwear. There are grassy paths, with some areas that may be moist, and brushy areas. If it is raining, the walk will be cancelled.

About the Instructor
Nick Sacerdote, a member of the Conservation Advisory Council (CAC), is a landscape designer and native plant gardener who has been working in the Hudson Valley for more than ten years. Nick holds a degree in conservation biology from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF), where he studied native ecology as well as environmental education and community outreach. Learn more about the Town of Clinton Conservation Advisory Council here.
