Clinton is a rural community that encompasses 38.8 square miles. It has a varied topography that includes a large number of streams, wetlands, and rock outcroppings that have shaped where our homes and commercial enterprises were built, creating the rural atmosphere that residents and visitors love.

Clinton’s forests, meadows, wetlands, and streams are important habitat for a wide variety of wildlife and plants, including some rare species, and provide many vital benefits to people, especially in this era of rapid climate change.
